Easy Hisab — expense tracking and bill splitting
Last updated: 24 September 2026

Easy Hisab is an India-based expense-tracking and bill-splitting app operated by ANVITH TECHNOLOGIES (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED ("we", "us"), a company incorporated in India (CIN U58200MR2026OPC478371). This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data, ever. The app does not show ads today; if a future version shows ads, we will update this policy before that version is released.

On Google Play, Easy Hisab is published under the developer account "Simplified Technologies", held by Abhishek Kumar Pandey, director of ANVITH TECHNOLOGIES (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED, which operates the app.

1. Data we collect and why

DataWhy we collect it
Phone numberYour account identity. You sign in with this number and your password. We also send a one-time password (OTP) to it when you sign up, claim an account someone created for you, or reset a forgotten password.
Profile details (name, email, photo — optional)Shown to friends and group members you share expenses with.
Contacts (with your permission)To let you add friends and group members from your address book. Only after you allow it on the in-app notice, the phone numbers in your address book are sent to our server to show which of your contacts already use Easy Hisab; the numbers you pick are used to add or invite that person. Nothing is uploaded without that consent, and you can revoke contacts permission at any time.
Expense and financial dataThe expenses, incomes, budgets, settlements, groups and notes you create are stored on our servers so they sync across your devices and with the people you split with.
Voice recordings (microphone, with your permission)When you use voice entry, the clip is sent to our AI service for transcription and parsing into an expense, then discarded from the processing pipeline.
Receipt images (camera/photos, with your permission)When you scan a receipt, the image is sent to our AI service to extract the merchant, amount and line items.
Device and diagnostics dataDevice platform, app version and a push notification token, to deliver notifications and keep sessions secure. Server logs (including IP address) are kept briefly for security and abuse prevention, e.g. OTP rate limiting.
Crash reportsWhen the app or our server hits an unexpected error we send a crash report (the error, a stack trace, device model and app version) to Sentry so we can fix it. These reports carry no phone number, name, email, IP address or expense data — the only identifier attached is your internal account id, so we can tell one person hitting an error a hundred times from a hundred people hitting it once.

2. AI processing (Google Gemini)

Voice clips, receipt images and expense text you submit to the smart-entry features are processed by our AI service, which uses the Google Gemini API to parse them. This content is sent to Google solely to produce the parsed result and is subject to Google's API data-use terms. We do not use your content to train models. AI features are optional — you can always enter expenses manually.

3. Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

4. Data retention

5. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app, or by emailing support@easyhisab.com from any address, mentioning your registered phone number. See How account deletion works for exactly what is deleted and what is anonymized (records shared with other users are kept but no longer identify you, so their ledgers stay correct).

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords, OTP codes and refresh tokens are stored only as hashes, never in plain text; session tokens are short-lived and revocable. Access to production systems is restricted.

7. Your rights (DPDP Act, 2023)

As a Data Principal under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent (e.g. revoke contacts or microphone permission in your device settings), and raise a grievance. Contact us at the email below; if unresolved, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Children

Easy Hisab is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. Users aged 13 to 17 need the consent of a parent or guardian to use the app.

9. Changes

We will update this page and its "Last updated" date when this policy changes, and notify you in the app of material changes.
